Community-focused Austin elementary school launches new website

AUSTIN – Community-focused Austin elementary school Zavala Elementary recently launched a new website to better serve parents and the student body of more than 300 children from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. Located in East Austin, Zavala is part of the Eastside Memorial Vertical Team.

Zavala Elementary School’s mission is “to develop responsible citizens through inspiration, motivation and education.” Founded in 1936, Zavala serves to meet both the education and community needs of the Holly neighborhood.

The faculty and staff at Zavala believe that knowledge is power and that education is a community effort; they are committed to challenging children in the neighborhood to learn at their highest levels. Zavala Elementary offers education in special areas, including music, art, physical education and life skills, as well as a pre-school program for children with disabilities.
